Some of my colleagues asked for feedback about the CNSP exam, so I decided to share my experience here for everyone's benefit.
Firstly, the exam consists of 60 questions to be completed in 60 minutes. Some questions are straightforward and will take you less than 30 seconds to answer, assuming you are well-prepared. All the questions are multiple-choice, but many are practical in nature.
The exam covers a wide range of topics, including:
Network: Fundamentals and security aspects.
Basic Security: Core principles and practices.
Linux and Windows System Administration: Key administrative tasks and security measures.
Powershell Malicious Commands: Recognizing and handling harmful commands.
Active Directory Attacks: Understanding and mitigating common attack vectors.
Web Attacks: Identifying and defending against web-based threats.
Social Engineering Scenarios: Handling real-world social engineering attempts.
Network Scanning: Techniques and tools for scanning networks.
Cryptography: Basic principles and applications in security.
Overall, the exam is of above-average difficulty in terms of both content and time. Review the topics mentioned, and you should be well-prepared. Note that you will need to have your camera and microphone active to start the exam, but you can turn them off once you begin.
Best of luck to everyone!
